Derek Levendusky is an author, worship artist, and speaker with a call to strengthen Christians to be life-giving followers of Jesus Christ. His passion is to see believers worldwide experiencing the grace of God through the revelation of the Scriptures and the reality of Gods presence. Having traveled to over 15 nations, his music and books are being enjoyed all over the world. A father of six, Derek is a devoted father and husband with a strong vision to strengthen Christian families. Presently, he lives in Avon, NY, where he's the lead pastor of GraceLife Church and teaches at Elim Bible Institute.

Come and learn a practical way to share the Gospel with others. Derek has a genuine way to equip others to share the Gospel. God has used him to open the hearts of many to Gods compassion for the lost!

Steps to Apply:

Great! You feel God calling you into the mission field... so now what? All you have to do is follow these simple steps:

STEP 1: Fill out the application in its entirety; send it, along with a current picture of yourself and a check or money order for $150 made out to IAM. The $150 Registration fee is NOT refundable.

STEP 2: Give your Pastor or Youth Pastor the personal reference sheet in your application packet and ask them to complete it.

STEP 3: Read and sign the Conduct and Dress Code Agreement. You and your parents both need to do this. It ensures that you understand and accept the terms of the agreement. Once we have received and reviewed your application packet and you are approved, you will receive a letter confirming your placement on the team. Also included will be fund raising suggestions and other helpful information.

UGANDA 2011

Uganda is a country in Eastern Africa, and is bordered by Kenya on the east, Congo on the west, Sudan to the North and Tanzania & Rwanda to the South. It is a country whose past may be defined by atrocities carried out by dictators, and whose present and future seem to be defined by the HIV and AIDS crisis. It is a land predominantly occupied by young people ages 0 to 19 who have been left to care for themselves. Your team will have the incredible privilege to show the Father’s heart for the rejected, abandoned and lonely at two orphanages in Uganda, you will also have the opportunity to minister to the sick in a children’s hospital and run a youth conference in a local town. The call is to go out and make disciples. Many have heard the gospel message but do not know how to respond to the Father’s love. During this trip, you will be able to help those you come in contact with how to respond to the awesome love of the Father, by being willing to open your arms and love on those who have never knew love and then gently guide them down the path of responding to the Father’s love and how their lives can be changed forever.Mission Objectives• Initially you will have a time to acclimate to the country and culture during orientation.• Support - IAM and IAM Youth Ablaze missionaries stationed in Tororo, Uganda. • In Tororo - Your team will stay at Linkway Business College (approved for western travelers) and a hotel in Entebbe (for two days before departure) and traveling by van while inland.•Ministry - Takes place in various locations throughout Tororo and border villages.•You and your team will be working with Smile Africa & Awingo House Ministries, local orphanages.•While at the orphanages - Your team will feed and bath the orphans, deliver child appropriate Gospel messages, songs and activities, and you will also have an opportunity to pray and minister to the children. •You will have an opportunity to visit at a local children’s hospital where your team will have an opportunity to minister to the children through one-on-one prayer ministry and intercession.•Open Air Evangelism - Where your team will present the gospel in various local villages.•Your team will also have an opportunity to minister in testimony to others, both young and old.• Two days will be set aside at the end of our trip for sightseeing, shopping and debriefing.• Attend a seminar on how to pray for those who are Muslim and to witness to them• Participate in the House of Prayer in Tororo• Ages: 15 and up
